Do you suffer from joint pain or arthritis? Are you considering having joint replacement surgery? Please join Dr. Mark Tenholder, an orthopedic surgeon, for a free seminar on "Arthritis and Joint Pain" on Thursday, Feb. 4 at the Civic Center in DeFuniak Springs. Dr. Tenholder will discuss the common causes and treatment options for arthritis and joint pain, in addition to explaining the benefits of joint replacement surgery, including the custom fit knee surgery approach. Lunch will be served. The custom fit approach to joint replacement surgery specifically benefits patients with advanced arthritic conditions of the knee. This customized approach allows orthopedic surgeons to precisely match the size and placement of the implant to the patient´s unique, pre-arthritic knee anatomy, ultimately allowing for better implant fit and alignment than traditional joint replacement surgery.
Angie Fox, joint replacement program coordinator, will also provide a brief overview of the Joint Replacement Program at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast, which provides comprehensive care for patients receiving knee, hip or shoulder replacement surgery. For more information about the joint replacement program at Sacred Heart or to register for the free seminar, please call 850-278-3600.
